Family

I have decided that I'm not very good at this blogging stuff. I read all my friends and families blogs and think to myself how creative and interesting they're blogs are. It makes me want to sit down and update my own blog but when I sit down to try to acutally type something I feel don't feel like I have anything creative or interesting to say. So sorry!

But there is something I want to say today...

I just have to say how greatful I am for my family... About a month ago Sheri, my mother-in-law, invited Tannon and I up to Bear Lake go camping with her and her new husband and his family for the week. Tannon and I had Monday off together then and we told her we would be able to go up for the day. I wasn't so sure I that I wanted to go. Don't get me wrong I love my mother-in-law but I am still getting to know her and we would also be there with her husbands family that I don't know at all. So needless to say I was a little lerry about going. But since Sheri did ask us to go and it would give me a reason to go to Bear Lake we figured we should go and I am so greatful we did.
We ended up having Sheri ride up with us. This was the longest amount of time that I have ever been with Sheri alone. It was one of the most enjoyable rides I have ever been on. We talked the whole two hour drive. Poor Tannon could barely get two words in. I even got a little car sick because I was turned around in the front seat so I that I could talk easier with Sheri who was in the back sit. I learned so much about her iand also that we had a lot in common in those two hours.
The talked didn't end when we got there. We talked and got to know each other so much more through out the rest of the day. It was one of the most enjoyable days off I have ever had. Sheri is not just my mother-in-law now, she is a friend. I am so greatful to have her in my life and that we went with her up to Bear Lake.
It was very nice to spend the day with Tannon's side of the family. It doesn't happen very often so when we do spend time with them I get to know them more and more each time. It just makes me very greatful that I married into their family!

Thomspons I love you!!

Sharing time!!!

So Tannon and I have to do Sharing Time in our primary on the 26th. I will just tell you that I am stressing! As many of you know I hate doing anything close to public speaking, so the thought of getting up in front of a group of about 30 kids has me sick to my stomach. I know that they are just kids but for me it doesn't matter what the age of the group is. I freak out just the same! So I want your opinion of my idea for sharing time. The theme is Keeping the Sabbath day strengthens our families. So what I was thinking to do is divide the room into two teams and have each team named the Smith Family and the Jones Family. They would then take turns drawing out pieces of paper with different activities on them that they kids would have to say if the activity was okay to do on sunday or not. If they answer right they would be able to role a big stuffed dice to move their team forward on the giant chuttes and latter board game that I'm going to make. So what do you think?....
